Indian Tiger Tour
Honoured with the title of National Animal, the Indian tiger is the most charismatic animal of India. The Indian Tiger is one of five races or sub-species distributed through Asia. Though slim and elegant, tigers are immensely powerful.

Tigers walk on the fore pads of their feet, which gives their stride suppleness and elasticity. They have flexible forelegs that can twist inwards, allowing them to grasp prey. Their claws remain retracted until they are needed in the final moments of attack.

Indian Rhino
The Indian rhinoceros ("rhino") has one horn, and it has skin with loose folds which make it appear armored. These characteristics distinguish it from the African (black and white) rhinos. It weighs 1600 (female) - 2200 (male) kg (3500 - 4800 lb). The Indian rhino has been recorded from a number of habitats, including marshy lowland and reedbeds; tall grass or bush with patches of savanna and occasional streams and swamps; thick tree and scrub riverine forest; and dry, mixed forest. The Indian rhino mainly eats grass, reeds and twigs, feeding mostly in the morning and evening. It is usually solitary and spends long periods lying in water and wallowing in mud.

Indian Birds
India with more than 1250 species of birds, is a paradise for bird watching. There are over 925 breeding species (~920 residents). The Indian birds belong to 25 groups called 'Orders', which are further divided into 'Families', 'Sub-families' and 'Genera'. For birding in India, 13 bio-geographical regions can be demarcated: Trans Himalayan, Western Himalayas, Eastern Himalayas, Desert, Semi-arid, Gangetic plain, Central India, Deccan Plateau, Western Ghats, Eastern Ghats, North East, Coasts and the Andaman Nicobar Islands. The Blue Peafowl (Pavo cristatus), also known as the Blue Peacock, is the national bird of India.

Indian Elephant
Elephants are the largest of all mammals on land. The Indian elephant is smaller than the African elephant, however it can grow up to 11 feet tall and weigh up to 5 tons. The elephant's brain is the heaviest of all land mammals and can weigh up to 5 Kg. Elephants have large ears, are covered with gray hairy skin, and are characterized by their long trunks which can be used in a number of ways including for breathing, to suck in water or food, to lift and pull objects, and to make trumpeting noises and other sounds for communication. All male Indian elephants do not have tusks. Elephants that do have large tusks are hunted by poachers who seek the tusks for their ivory. The tusks, which are elongated incisor teeth, are used for digging.
