"pink
city" of
Jaipur,

after
its
buildings

pink

Rajasthani
grandeur

Palace,
where
rare
manuscripts,
swords,
and
paintings
are on
display.
At the
17th-century
astronomical
observatory
Jantar
Mantar,
view a
magnificent
90-foot
sundial,
and then
admire
the
elaborate
facade
of the
Palace
of
Winds.
Day 4
Jaipur -

Pink
City)
Spend
the
morning
at the
Amber
Fort, a
majestic
fortress-palace
decorated
with
intricate
paintings
and
mosaics.

afternoon,
there is

Jaipur's
vibrant
arts and
crafts
markets
on your
own.

Ranthambhore
National
Park

Morning

for
Sawai-madhopur
(approx
210 kms).
Sawaimadhopur
is the
entry
point to
Ranthambore
National
Park,
which is
surrounded
by the
Vindayas
and the
Aravali
Hills.
Amidst
vast,
arid and
denuded
tracts
of the
desert
ecology
of
Rajasthan
lies the
oasis of
biomass.
The
Ranthambore
National
Park is
spread
over an
area of
392 sq.
kms of
thick
forest
with
nullahas
and
waterfalls.

from
Bharatpur
and is
the
quintessential
Mughal
city,
that was
the
capital
of their
empire
in the
16th and
17th
centuries.
Apart
from Taj,
theirs
is the
magnificent
Agra
Fort to
visit.
Evening

Day 9
Orchha
The
morning
drive
leads
you to
Orchha.
Situated
on the
banks of
the
Betwa
River,
Orchha
has
changed
little
over the
centuries.
Originally
a
hunting
area, it
became
the
centre
and
capital
of the
Bundelas.
Orchha
is
situated
on one
of the
cleanest
rivers
in
India,
the
Betwa
and has
more
temples
and
palaces
than any
town of
this
size
deserves!
We spend
our time
here
with a
local
guide
exploring
the
palace
and
temples
scattered
across
the
peaceful
countryside,
walking
in rural
areas
untouched
by
modern
life and
meeting
the very
friendly
local
people.
The
river
water is
cold but
clean
enough
to swim
in. You
will
have
free
time
afterwards
to
stroll
the few
streets
or walk
along
the
river.
Maybe
spend
the
evening
taking
in the
puja
ceremony
between
7pm and
8pm -
it's
held
twice
daily at
the Ram
Raja
Temple,
depending
on the
season.

carvings
depicting
the full
range of
the
Eroticism
(Kama
Sutra).
